What do the emblems on the Lynch Irish crest mean?

I know what the colors mean but I cannot find what the Dog (or lynx), the clovers, vines, and knight helmet on the crest mean. Not all of the crests that I have seen have all of these emblems but the that I have in my room does. Can someone help me figure this out?
