Is $500 too much for a Bengal/Lynx point kitten?

Most purebred Bengal kittens are between $700-$900 as pets only, spayed and neutered. This does vary a bit from state to state but is around the national average. $500 seems a bit low actually.. is the kitten an older kitten? A retired cat? Do they give them shots, worming, health contract, Tica papers,a vet check and s/n them before they come home to you? Are they a licensed breeder or is this a one time shot from a backyard breeding? I'd do a bit more research into why they are pricing a kitten $200 lower than the starting point of almost every breeder.
