How do you run normal (i have forgotten)?
you have to use your arms too. 3 quarters of running is arm movement. well, i dont run for fun (thats weird) so i dont know if people who do stop if something hurts or if they get tired, but in track, even in practice, i just run through the pain (inside and outside knee injuries, shin splints possibly, inside and outside ankle injuries, big toe injuries and achilles injuries all on both of my legs) and i dont stop if i get tired. plus, you can build up from running. you dont have to run 5 miles on the 1st day, but no offense, but thats what you get for smoking. it screws up your body, but congrats for being able to succesfully quit. and use your toes. and i dont run long distances (100 through half a mile, long,, triple and high jumps, and 100 and 400 hurdles), but in xc, i heard that breathing through your nose and out your mouth helps, but i think its a load of sh*t. just remember to take in a lot of oxygen and water.
